14 hours

Moderate

Embark on a thrilling Super Jeep adventure across the wild Landmannalaugar Highlands, conquering rugged terrains and capping the journey with a rejuvenating soak in a natural hot spring.

Leave behind the buzz of the city and set your sights on the untamed heart of Iceland!
This full-day 4x4 adventure plunges you into the wild Highlands, where the geothermal marvels of Landmannalaugar await.

Accessible only during the summer months, Landmannalaugar is cut off for most of the year due to snow-covered mountain roads - making it one of Iceland’s most exclusive destinations. Widely considered the most beautiful place in Iceland, its landscapes truly look like something straight out of a fantasy movie.

Your epic journey kicks off at dawn in Reykjavik, whisking you toward Iceland’s most breathtaking - and secret - waterfalls.

Your first conquest is Hjálparfoss, a mesmerizing twin cascade surrounded by ancient lava fields. Take time to explore this natural fortress before pressing onward to the thunderous heights of Háifoss, one of the tallest waterfalls in the country - a place that looks like something straight out of Stranger Things.

Then, discover Sigöldufoss, a stunning Highland waterfall set in a remote and surreal landscape.

Braving rugged Highland roads, your 4x4 powers through to Landmannalaugar, a legendary realm of rainbow-colored rhyolite mountains and bubbling geothermal springs.

Here, adventure is at its peak:
trek a scenic 5 km hike (moderate level) through otherworldly terrain - proper hiking boots are essential - then soak your trail-weary muscles in a steaming natural hot spring, surrounded by towering peaks.

But the adventure doesn’t end there. On your return, stop at Hnausapollur crater, a remote volcanic lake that dwarfs Kerið in both size and mystique. Then, marvel at Sigöldugljúfur canyon, often referred to as the “Valley of Tears,” where countless waterfalls cascade into a magical gorge carved by time.

A final comfort stop lets you catch your breath before you roll back into Reykjavik, your spirit awakened and your memory brimming with wild Icelandic tales.

Please note: This is a full-day Highland adventure - bringing food for the entire day is strongly recommended, as well as swimwear and a towel for the hot spring experience.
